System: Debian Jessie with a up-to-date network-manager and KDE
Steam: Up-to-date Beta Client (Build date Oct 20 2014 @ 14:08:29 , API v017, package versions 1413917607)

Situation: LAN and WLAN connection configured in network-manager. LAN enabled and connected, WLAN disabled (and disconnected). The WLAN is normally disabled due to a low connection speed even when there is a good signal.

Problem: While Steam is connecting my WLAN connection got enabled. This is reproducible and also happens on another system from another person.

I don't want Steam to change my network configuration. There is a reason why the WLAN connection is disabled and enabling it, even if there would be no LAN connection, is nothing a software like Steam should do. Steam could show a error message that there is no network connection but another available connections in the network-manager, but shouldn't touch them.

Haha, searched for "wlan" but haven't found anything.

Nothing extracted yet.
