MPRIS is a common Freedesktop standard that unifies the management process over all gnu/linux players. Since there is Music Player which is now part of Steam, I would like to make a request for adding support of this protocol.
For instance, this protocol is used in KDEConnect and allows one to control media players with Android devices.
