Highlight some text with the mouse in Steam client.
(optional) Unselect text by left-clicking somewhere else in the Steam client window.
Switch to (for example) Firefox window.
Middle click on some TextInput field.
Expected result: words that were selected in Steam client are pasted into that TextInput field.
Actual result: nothing happens or some previously memorized text is pasted.
And the same problem when doing opposite transfer: Firefox -> Steam client. (nothing can be pasted into Steam client that way)
x86 Ubuntu 14.10 (tested also on Ubuntu from 13.04 to current).

Never worked as expected (middle-click paste) neither on Stable nor
