I have Wi-Fi disabled and connected to internet via Ethernet using VPN.
For whatever reason at launching Steam turns on Wi-Fi again, and what happened next - I'm getting connected to Wi-Fi network loosing VPN connection, when I'm switching Wi-Fi off and reconnecting to VPN I have no connection to Steam services in Star Conflict.

WTF Steam is doing with network connections? I want it to use what I'm offering, not rule network connections instead of me!

Ubuntu 15.04 x64, latest Steam beta channel
