I recently upgraded my HTPC from an old Nvidia Ion windows 7 pc to a new intel Haswell 4400 i3 machine. On the new machine i'm running Debian jessie (testing) with the intel drivers from the experimental repo.
In home streaming worked quite well from my gaming pc (win 7) to my old htpc. But on the new machine with Debian i'm getting a green screen (with working audio) when streaming from the gaming pc.
I have tried enabling/disabling hardware decoding on the debian pc, but there is no change.
I tried installing a linux-compatible game on the Debian machine and it worked just fine. But i'd like to still be able to play windows games via my htpc.
Got it working by turning off the hardware encoding on the host machine. It's a little weird that it worked windows 7 to windows 7 but not windows 7 to debian. But i'm not complaining any more.
