Possible steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Dota 2
  2. Minimize it
  3. Open any Blink(Chromium)-based browser
  4. Open any page with pastable fields (i.e. google.com)
  5. Try to copy-past something via Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V

After that browser page gets frozen. It may not happen right away, but after 5-10 minutes it will occur for 99% sure. Restarting Browser doesn't help, cause after closing it still runs in background. Even killing its processes manually doesn't help, since it gives the following error in console:

adem@adem:~$ opera
[0222/165921:ERROR:process_singleton_posix.cc(277)] Failed to create /home/adem/.config/opera/SingletonLock: File is existing
[0222/165921:ERROR:opera_browser_main_parts.cc(629)] Failed to create a ProcessSingleton for your profile directory. This means that running multiple instances would start multiple browser processes rather than opening a new window in the existing process. Aborting now to avoid profile corruption.
[0222/165921:ERROR:desktop_window_tree_host_x11.cc(810)] Not implemented reached in virtual void views::DesktopWindowTreeHostX11::InitModalType(ui::ModalType)

Only restarting system helps. Problem occures with Google Chrome, Opera (Blink) and Vivaldi. I've never met something similar with Firefox.

My Specs:
Kubuntu 14.04.2
KDE 4.13.2
Kernel Linux 3.16.0-30-generic
4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz
8 GB RAM
nVidia GTX 650 with NVIDIA 346.35 driver

This happens with me too.
I tested just with google-chrome. It was happening for some time but i thought it was a browser bug.
I never connected it to dota being opened. What a crazy bug.

Specs:
Kubuntu 14.04.1
Kernel 3.13.0-43 generic
Intel Xeon CPU E3-1240 v2 @ 3.40GHz
8 GB RAM 2x 4GB ddr3 1600Mhz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti
NVIDIA driver version 331.113

I'm having this issue too. This is super annoying, can you tell us what's the progress on resolving it?

Occured on archlinux / i3 here. Not sure what details do you need, but if you tell me, I can provide it.

Many thanks!

Regards.

Hello @adem4ik, @rsmantini, @pagenoare, are any of you still experiencing this issue on an up to date system?
