When I start Steam and then opening a Steam chat window through the friends list, all Steam windows consistently flicker, the chat window starts minimized, and with some other open windows (especially Terminator windows), the window snapping feature of MATE fails entirely. The bug doesn't seem consistent either, because I can have multiple Terminator windows open, and only one or two may not have working edge snapping.
This didn't happen until a recent update pushed MATE 1.10 to Arch Linux's repositories, until then I was using MATE 1.8 with no problems at all. I'm not sure if it's a fault with MATE or Steam.
I'm running Arch Linux (updated fully as of right now), MATE 1.10, latest version of Steam, and the nVidia proprietary beta drivers, version 352.21.
