This feature request is planeed to be added anytime soon?
I think it would be nice to have it. I actually run steam with DRI_PRIME enabled and then all childs are spawned with that env var.
I think all computer with 2 graphic cards (almost all computers) have to use this or they have to disable the integrated card from bios and plug the screen on the dedicated one.

If you're like me and have the Steam client open all the time then you
don't want to have it running with DRI_PRIME or you'll be wasting power
A single tick box to enable all games to use it, with the option to opt out
on games that don't require it would be great

Running games on the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated one requires "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS" to "DRI_PRIME=1 %command%" (for dedicated Radeons) or "primusrun %command%" (for NVidia).
It would be cool if Steam had a GUI setting to select the default GPU similar to how the Voice settings allow to select the used device.
