Now that splice is publicly available we can now put it through it's paces, Splice on my system detects the total Xorg resolution, but only renders on the left-most screen.
I am using 64-bit, Cinnamon 1.6.1 backed by gnome 3.4 on a nVidia GTX 460 with 310.19.

If you move Steam to the right monitor, does it open into the right screen?

I have a secondary monitor to the left setup, Steam is on the primary screen (right). I seem to have missed the critical detail that Splice renders on the left screen as if it intended to render on both, and is unplayable with the right 50% missing

I only asked because it seemed that it might be related to #22. Try giving that a read and see if it seems to describe in some detail what you're experiencing. If it does, I'll mark this as a duplicate of 22. If not, I'll mark it as it's own bug.

I took a read through 22 and yes, this is most likely another systemic problem related to nVidia's proprietary drivers' multi-monitor implementation. If I had to guess, Splice is detecting the total xorg resolution (instead of the target display), then trying to pump out the content to one display, which is 3840x1080 going to 1920x1080 in my case.
I would like to know if this is an issue for a AMD/ATi multi-monitor user with a simular setup before marking this as a duplicate.

I have the same problem. Moving steam to the secondary (right side) monitor (which has a reduced resolution due to a smaller size), it still shows only the left side of the content. I am using TwinView on nVidia, but given that I've only ever had trouble with games that want to fullscreen, I have a hard time blaming nVidia for this.

Looks like this issue is getting no ATi viewers, is there anything that can be done to call for testing?

Looks like a policy change is being enforced, I'm closing this bug to save gdrewb-valve a little effort. | This bug was closed because the issue concerns the game and not the Steam client. Please contact the game developer on their official website with this information.

I have an ATI FireGL V3700 and I am also experiencing this issue

I have 2 monitors, and I do dual monitors via this command on startup: "xrandr --auto --output DVI-0 --mode 1920x1080 --right-of DVI-1".

BZFlag (non-steam tank game) is confirmed to be working across both screens.

Is there a way to force the game to play in windowed mode until the problem is fixed?

Nothing extracted yet.
