An update to the GRID autosport sound issue. If I use my other soundcard which supports hardware mixing then the sound is OK with or without big picture. If I use my headset soundcard which uses ALSA dmix then sound is bad when started from big picture, but OK when started from desktop. This seems to be a GRID autosport issue though since in other games the sound is OK whichever soundcard I use.
The issue with starting a game from big picture seems to be because of the i3 window manager not allowing a game to start in fullscreen because big picture is already in full screen.
Nothing extracted yet.
Trying to use a steam controller from big picture mode with a few games but whenever I start a game it tells me it is "running" but nothing happens. I have to use the mouse to click the play button again (even though it is running), or alt tab, and then the game suddenly appears.
In the terminal I see:
That "Warning: The game hasn't rendered a frame from us in over 10 seconds" message just repeats until I alt-tab or something. Tested with shadow of mordor, grid autosport and CS:GO, all do the same thing
I also noticed that once alt-tabbing to get it to start from big picture grid autosport has choppy sound the whole time, running it from steam desktop mode the sound is fine.
