The way things work right now every steam client has an independent online state. This becomes somewhat inconvenient when a user is connected to multiple clients at the same time.

Example scenario: User is connected on 2 computers at the same time (possibly hoping to stream some games to their big screen setup located far from their beefy rig). User decides to change their online status to Offline (or whatever) from their comfy couch on client B, yet client A is still reporting itself as Online :S

The online status should therefore be altered globally, rather than toggled locally.

Switching between away/online/ works across devices, but setting "do not disturb" or the invisible mode doesn't work account-wide

there is a bug relating it and is that if you set to invisible on one device while being away on an AFK computer(eg: you logged in on your notebook and your pc stays online 24/7), even thou locally you will "be invisible" on the device you set, people will still see you as Away
