CEF is the Chromium Embedding Framework. The Steam client uses CEF to host Chromium for web content.
I saw something about the Chromium Embedding Framework, maybe the spell checking I read was a mistake.
Either way this is not common place in Linux, not many apps call for this, and for many end-users, Steam might be the only thing calling for this, and so I KINDLY ask that the Steam DEV Team have this directory added into a /steam path instead of having this created in ~/.config
The site says that Windows & OSX use a customized version of CEF;
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Chromium_Embedded_Framework
I'm using Linux, so what does that mean in regards to this customized version of CEF?
I understand this is an extension of the Chromium browser, BUT does that mean it creates and should have it's own directory, or should this be containted under a /steam path instead?
Nothing extracted yet.
I now see that Steam is making in ~/.config a
cef_user_datadirectory.Steam never did this in the past, now is this really needed?
I don't use anything on my system for spelling checking or dictionaries, and if this is just something particular to Steam, then can we please get this placed under a Steam directory instead?
