EDIT: Should probably note that I validated this by reverting to the stable Steam Client and XCOM worked. I repeated the steps in both the Beta client and Stable client once more after that to validate.
Same Issuses with GRID Autosport on SteamOS, Audio works but no Video.

I can confirm that the update fixed GRID: Autosport for me.
I have audio but the graphics freeze with a 'screen shot' of the desktop.
