Not entirely sure the issue... I can start X applications fine and standalone games fine. Steam on the other hand will just turn into a dead process the moment launched with no log.

I can somewhat tell its an X issue by manually starting a game that will cause Steam to try and startup which will give me something like this error:

SteamUpdateUI: An X Error occurred
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
