recently a Ubuntu 14.04 kernel upgrade broke the Nvidia video setting. The nvidia driver simply does not load by Xserver. the system now only starts in fallback mode without 3D acceleration.
when trying to open Steam to run the backup feature, I received the following error message:
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig
I tried to contact Steam Support asking for assistance on how to back up manually, however, even after I left explicit that I using Ubuntu Linux, support pointed me documentation to back up in Windows.
It would be great if there was a backup tool for the command line.
my internet is not very fast, and I take weeks to get download everything again.
