Have you already looked here? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Steam/Troubleshooting
Edit2:
I'm not as attentive as I'd like to think. I did definitely set the LD_PRELOAD env variable in the past but I must've overwritten it at some point. I'm sorry. Thanks Donald for making me repeat the steps in the wiki again :/ Works now.
@d3rrial , can you mention what specifically the problem was and what specifically you did to fix it? (Which library?)

@ainiml, open a new bug. This one is closed and probably not the same issue.

Your system information
My issue in as much detail as possible:
Whenever I try starting a game from within Steam, the launcher opens, my status changes to "In Game" and then the launcher immediately closes and my status changes back to "Online" with no game started. This used to only happen to Borderlands 2 and Dota 2, but it didn't happen to CS:GO in the past. Now it's also happening with CS:GO.
It's not much of a problem with Borderlands and Dota, because I can just start them from the commandline, but I can't start CS:GO from the commandline without the game detecting it as "Unsafe Mode" and not allowing me to join ranked matches.
I've done everything that's suggested on the Arch wiki, nothing helped. I've tried both with Steam In-Game UI enabled and disabled.
