Hello @fengshaun, from personal testing, audio capture for in home streaming only works with pulseaudio.
Installing pulseaudio seems to fix the problem. Still, would have like to have alsa supported. Thanks.
Edit: Some games still don't have sound (e.g. Monaco, Lovers in a dangerous spacetime, Hammerwatch) but CS:GO does produce sound. Is this an issue I can fix on my part?
Installing Pulseaudio broke many other things in my setup so it was not a solution for me. Anyway, Steam should report error/warning on attempt to stream when Pulseaudio is not available.

When I try to stream a game on my windows 10 client from my Gentoo host (with ALSA), I get no sound at all. I get proper sound on the host, but no sound is transmitted to the client.

I'm not sure why it's failing to initialize sound recording and I don't know where to get more debug info.
