[Feature Request] Steam should search ~/.local/share/applications when adding non-Steam games.

  • Steam client version: 1476379980
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Xubuntu 16.04.1
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: [Yes/No] No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen. Please link any large code pastes as a Github Gist

What I expected to happen: The list of non-Steam games to add would contain the things I've added to ~/.local/share/applications

What did happen: The list is only populated with stuff from /usr/share/applications.

I can always manually browse but it'd be easier if the list searched ~/.local/share/applications.

This should be a low-priority issue.
