In SteamOS, in game, with an X360 controller, after opening the "system overlay" by holding the Xbox-button down for a long time, the "Restart System" button has no effect.

After closing the game, another popup appears, asking the user to confirm. This popup should've appeared in the overlay.

Are you using SteamOS on an official system or installed on your own hardware? Not sure it matters, there is definitely a Z-level bug here, just curious mostly.

This is my own build, but it's nothing exotic. It's an i5-6400, GTX 970, 8GB RAM and SteamOS has its own mechanical 1TB HDD. Rock solid stability, no esd damage and temperatures are great.

This bug has got to be fairly recent because this worked fine when I started with SteamOS. I am pretty sure that second confirmation popup is new, and someone forgot to test this in the overlay. Shutting down the system without a game running from BPM works as intended. I shut down my PS3 like this as well (in game) so I am used to this method.

The restart and shutdown selections work on modern installations.

It probably does, this report is from 7 years ago.

Nothing extracted yet.
