  • Steam client version - Build Date: December 20th, 2017
  • Distribution: Gentoo
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: Yes
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

In-home streaming with my Steam Link via my Gentoo host, forces the host DPMS to "Disabled" (Standby:0, Suspend:0, Off:0) but when I stop streaming it fails to re-enable DPMS. Only work around is to exit Steam completely which auto re-enables DPMS.

Gentoo with Plasma 5 (KDE) desktop Kernel: 4.14.8

Step to reproduce:

  1. When I open Steam, DPMS is Enabled (xset -q)
  2. Lunch a game and shut it down. DPMS is still Enabled.
  3. Lunch In home streaming from my Steam Link without launching any game: DPMS Disabled
  4. Stop streaming or directly shut down steam link from the menu: DPMS Disabled
  5. DPMS is Disabled until I shut down Steam completely.

Expected Behavior:
After link session has ended the DPMS settings should be restored to previous values.
