Steam client version (build number or date): 12/15/17 Build Date
Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Manjaro (Arch)
Opted into Steam client beta?: No
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Environment: Completing a purchase and/or checking out in Big Picture Mode on the current mainline Steam client.
Issue: Tabbing through checkout fields works well for all string fields. However, the state selection field (US customer) does not respond to keyboard input. You are required to either use the mouse or arrow/direction keys to sort through the 50+ options in the dropdown.
Request: Allow users to use the keyboard to press "C" and search/seek to CA. Subsequent "C" presses would bring up the next alphabetical state in order, etc. Alternative: perhaps you could reference the previously-requested ZIP field to prempt the customer's state?
Please note this minor UI issue was only found while using Big Picture Mode within the Linux Desktop client. This doesn't come up during the typical desktop checkout flow.
