In Windows, when one of my groups has an event starting, I get a toast and a window pops up in front of everything else. I'm pretty sure it used to do this in Linux as well, but as of the current main release (5/18) and the current beta (5/23) it doesn't. The toast appears, but the window spawns underneath another programs. This isn't surprising, since I think KDE has protections against new windows stealing focus (hence #4829), but windows that attempt and fail are supposed to have highlighted taskbar buttons so you know they want your attention. But that doesn't happen.
Running Kubuntu 18.10 with Plasma 5.12.4 and KDE Frameworks 5.44.0, using latest beta client (5/23).
