I was playing Tomb Raider and hitting the screenshot button (on the Steam Controller) multiple times, which often resulted in the notifications being included in the screenshot: (see bottom right)
I'm aware that notifications can be disabled. Feel free to close if this isn't Linux specific. (I haven't tested on other OSes.)
