  • Steam client version (build number or date): July 24 2018 (the one that forced the "beta" client on everyone)
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Arch 64bit
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Offline mode is missing.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  • Sign into steam client with account/client configured to be offline by default.
  • Appear online with no way going offline.

At least on my system, Steam is remembering status past being closed and reopened.

That's not the same as it being the default.

Popping up online and having to manually go offline, just because you forgot to do it before closing the client defeats the purpose of the offline mode.

Closing per:
Added 'Offline' as a selectable status. This will log the user's client out of Steam Friends and the user will appear as offline to their friends.
Added the option to not automatically log into Steam Friends at Steam Client startup.
in the 2018-07-27 Steam client beta update.
