As described in https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/900 allow me to request that this survey also offers a checkbox list of common symptoms and then provides possible known solutions that a beta tester can try and can then report back if those solved the issue.
See https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/524 for an example where a simple known alternative Proton setting solved the problem just based on a common symptom description.

Survey after Running a windows game with Steam Play
Steam could create a survey like Steam Hardware Survey with some questions about how running game with Proton. Hardware info could be integrated into it. An opt-in could disable it.
