  • Steam client version: 26 nov
  • Distribution: 18.04
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

When starting Doom(example) mouse input on right pad gets slow and choppy(its like input lag over 2 sec delay) when backgrounds are rendering.
When a game is not rendering just showing a background eg. on a loading screens the mouse input is normal.
I expect it to be normal att all times and not be slowed down and choppy.

Hello @Xvatten, please copy your system information from steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) and put it in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report. Additionally, please confirm that a native linux game is equally affected.

This affects Stellaris and Cities Skylines aswell. (Native linux games)

I also tried it in Solus. Same issues there.
More Native linux games tested: Northgard, Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth.

Can confirm this has been an issue on Arch (Manjaro) for several weeks now. Compositor disabling and window/full screen switching have no effect.

Nothing extracted yet.
