Your system information

  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Xubuntu 18.10

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Purchase a game or add steam funds to your wallet, and when the transaction occurs an error message banner states that there was an issue with the transaction purchase and that you should contact support...

The problem is that the transaction went through fine, and the funds were added or the games were purchased. If you check your wallet or library, you will see the funds or games there.

I DID NOT NOTICE WHILE ADDING FUNDS, AND ENDED UP ADDING FUNDS TWICE DUE TO THE ERROR MESSAGE WHICH MADE ME THINK THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSACTION.

This needs to be fixed.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Go to the store
  2. Purchase a game or add funds to your wallet
  3. Notice the incorrect error message which confuses users and causes them to involuntarily buy games twice or add funds twice...

Did not happen today. Perhaps at the time there was a lot of people purchasing from the store and a high load on the servers?

Nothing extracted yet.
