Additionnaly, if I put the main client window on one virtual desktop and the chat window on a different virtual desktop, I get X errors and focus weirdness.
Recently, I made the mistake to start steam on the wrong virtual desktop: the steam client is segfaulting is libSDL2
Years ago, I did switch to dwm wm, then I won't be able to test again that (fvwm was too much a pain to build and configure).
close this issue as you see fit.
I use dwm now which has "desktops" too.
Was not able to reproduce.

I already did report this issue. I use a native xserver and fvwm window manager configured with several virtual desktops. If I try to start the beta client on a different virtual desktop than the one where I did close for the last time the beta client, I get tons of X errors and the client does crash.
