Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): Latest
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Ubutnu 18.04/ Debian 8
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: [Yes/No] Yes
  • Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I was able to install the cuda drivers on th4 P4 and the grid drivers on the P100 in Google Cloud. And checked via the Google Cloud turorial if they were properly installed. But when opening Steam it gave errors on opengl.
I tried this in Ubuntu 18.04 and also in Debian 8, because brewmaster is based on Debian 8. I even added the steamos repositories. But this did not do the trick? Is there even support on these cards? On my home pc I use Ubuntu 18.04 too and had no problems installing Steam. I do have a radeon card tho.

Hello @jahruhn, Steam is a 32 bit opengl application.

Does any 32 bit opengl application like glxinfo from mesa-utils:i386 work? You may be encountering #5778.
