Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): Mar 26, 2019 at 23:59:21
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Kubuntu 18.04 (on a mid 2015 mbp)
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: [Yes/No] Yes
  • Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Sound for any other application default to my bluetooth headphones when connected, but it doesn't here. It defaults to speakers despite I can play youtube vids and other things through firefox and whatever is linked in discord over them. However, choosing to refuse my headphones in steam for no apparent reason.

As far as I know there's no steps to repeat, they just don't register with steam for some reason despite being connected to the mbp.

Are the Bluetooth headphones set as default in (OS) Sound options? Can you switch the playback device properly in PulseAudio Volume Control?

Ok yeah, looks like there it's just defaulting to speakers for some reason. Not sure why it'd do that though. If headphones are connected(especially in my case over bluetooth) it should automatically pick that right? That's the only major issue I seem to be having with my games that I know of right now since I was only able to re-install majesty so far thanks to the fact I was having troubles using my other larger external drive. I never had a issue on windows or mac of it doing this with sound though that I'm aware of.

Edit: As expected, finally got darksiders reinstalled and just like everything else it defaults to speakers. Unlike the host of other applications I use that use my headphones by default just fine
