The big picture System page shows the correct number of cores for my cpu (16c, 32t)

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Install a Threadripper 2950X
Open big picture
Go to Settings > System
Core count is wrong (8c, 32t)

After realizing i'd only checked in big picture mode, i double-checked with the Help > System Information dialog, and it also appears incorrectly there:
