Steam client version (build number or date): Jun 17 2019, at 23:31:27
Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Fedora 30 Workstation
Opted into Steam client beta?: Yes
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I wanted to try Insurgency: Sandstorm out through Proton and see how it went, but upon pressing "Play game" on the store page all that was downloaded in my download manager was the shader cache. Pressing the play button in my library gave me an error about a missing executable (something about EACsomething.exe).
Forcing Proton in the title's properties successfully triggered the download however.
Worth noting is also that the game appeared as though it was native in my library (no "Runs on this computer via Steam Play" box). I also did not attempt to verify the integrity of the game files.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Press "Play game" on the store page for Insurgency Sandstorm during the free weekend
Observe Steam only download the shader cache
Attempt to start the game (it'll say missing executable)
