Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Is there any way to force the desktop launcher to launch a game in windowed mode under linux? I have added to launch options "-windowed" and "-windowed -w -1024" and still it starts in full screen by default. The only way to start the game in windowed mode is doing with the play button in the library section and then selecting it.

Hello @colibris79, there's no generalized method to force a game to run windowed, but you make it sound like your issue is that the per-game launch options are not getting used. Can you verify the desktop shortcut is calling something like steam steam://rungameid/<appid>?

Hi @kisak-valve , thanks for the fast response. Yep, the desktop is using that kind of call. Can I add something to the desktop shortcut to make it open in windowed mode?

I've tried adding '-windowed' (no quotes) after the desktop launcher command but it didn't work either

I have to add that even from the client Library , I clic on the play button, clic on play the game and it still won't use the launch options (-windowed) for the game.

Nothing extracted yet.
