Steam checks for 32-bit OpenGL implementation but does not check for 32-bit Vulkan libs. In my case (Radeon RX 580) I had to install libxcb-randr0:i386 mesa-vulkan-drivers:i386 manually.
Without them all 32-bit games running via Proton and D9VK crashed without a prompt.
