To reproduce: Library -> Select a game -> Community Hub -> # in Group Chat link near upper right.
Still doesn't work, is there another way to join the group chat for a game?
I discovered it works only after "following" the game.

Community Hub Group Chat doesn't work
When clicking on the button that shows X in group chat, you can no longer join the group chat by clicking on the link, because it never opens.
