Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): Jan 18 (also tried latest Beta)
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Manjaro
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When announcing the Soundtracks features here, it stated:

customers can configure a Steam "music" directory where all soundtrack content will be placed, rather than having to locate it in subdirectories of game content.

I'm not sure if this is working as intended. At least, not how it's worded there. You do get a new music folder, but it's always in whatever Steam library folder you pick to install like you would for games, not for the folders you add in the Music part of Steam's settings.

Hopefully I'm being clear enough.

So you have the Downloads settings and then Music settings, Soundtracks still seem to use the normal Downloads folder and not whatever folders you add to the Music settings page.

Nothing extracted yet.
