Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): Feb 11 2020, at 19:27:00
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Solus
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: [Yes/No] No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

A few days ago while I was playing American Truck Simulator I decided I wanted to remap a few of the keys on my xbox 360 controller. Set some of them up so that I can have 2 commands set to one button. In order to do this I have to use the "controller configuration" button on library page for the game I'm playing. When I try to click on the Controller Configuration button nothing happens. I should be getting a popup that shows my controller and all my current binds but it doesn't show up.

I've tried closing steam and relaunching it. Tried restarting my computer. Checked for all updates Tried every game I have installed, tried right clicking and selecting controller configuration, left clicking the game and clicking controller configuration on the game page itself.

If I click on "steam" in the top left and click settings then go down to controller everything in general controller settings, big picture configuration, desktop configuration, and guide button chord configuration work perfectly. I've gone into big picture mode and check controller settings in there and again everything works perfectly. Just for some reason the "controller configuration" button for the games that lets you do keybinds does not work.

The games I've tested this on are:

  1. american truck simulator
  2. dragonball z: kakarot
  3. rimworld
  4. rise of the tombraider
  5. star wars: battlefront 2 classic (2005)

I Submitted a ticket to steam support on steam itself and was told:

AFAIK this was fixed in the beta client.

23 days, no fix, no word on a fix, no update, nobody assigned to the case. Is there a better place to get help that I don't know about?
