Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

So I installed this addon to Kodi, it is supposed to allow launching Steam in BPM from Kodi: [RELEASE] Steam Launcher - Start Steam Big Picture Mode from within Kodi

It only worked once for me, normally nothing happens. When I launch kodi from terminal and try this is the terminal output:

https://paste.kodi.tv/voroyopafu

[2020-04-10 12:59:33] uninstalled manifest found in /home/runswithascript/.steam/steam/package/steam_client_ubuntu12 (1).
[2020-04-10 12:59:33] Found pending update
[2020-04-10 12:59:33] Shutdown

On seeing that I started two small game updates I noticed were in my Steam Downloads, I deleted the cache from the Downloads section of Steam settings, and I opened steam again with the --reset flag. This worked - once only, the problem has come back, and the same troubleshooting doe snot help this time. If it helps here is the Kodi debug output: https://paste.kodi.tv/eyikovijil.kodi

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Install the addon linked above in Kodi
  2. Launch the addon from Kodi

Hello @dairefagan, issues with a Kodi add-on should be investigated by the add-on's maintainer. Since Steam works in a normal environment, it doesn't look like there's an issue for a Valve dev to investigate on this side.

Nothing extracted yet.
