Killingfloor doesn't run

if run kf then does not started, id run from terminal:
~/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/KillingFloor/System/killingfloor-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Running a game outside of Steam is not a bug, however:

And this is a clean install from Steam Linux, if you validate the files does it fix it?
~/.killingfloor/System/KillingFloor.ini contains the settings for renderers, normally PixoDrv is commented out, so…
