Steam client version (build number or date): 27th April, 2020 at 21:53:32
Distribution: Gentoo Linux, primarily using the i3 window-manager; Linux Mint using the default W.M. (Cinnamon)
Opted into Steam client beta?: No
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
All non-default Steam skins suffer from the following behavioural traits on my Linux machine, running Gentoo Linux across many different window-managers:
The top bar is heavily obfuscated [1];
Many of the pages, such as the Games and Collections Libraries, refuse to load. No error is sent to a console buffer, and a blank page is shown indefinitely [2];
The embedded browser, dialog boxes, and Downloads page behave perfectly with no apparent issues.
I have also confirmed that this bug effects Linux Mint with the default Cinnamon window-manager. Although I cannot confirm its impact on Ubuntu, its occurrence on Mint gives me high confidence that the misbehaviour is distro- and window-manager-independent. Given that this concerns community-created content, I would not normally report this to Valve, however its occurrence with every skin across multiple distributions and window-managers leads me to the impression that a bug exists in the skinning A.P.I.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Load any community-created skin;
Notice the visual and functional glitches seen in [1] and [2] respectively.
