Was looking to install a server, but couldn’t find the non-beta server in my tools list, a quick search on a 3rd party cdr tool found the problem:

‘Killing Floor Dedicated Server - Linux’ app 215360 appears in the games list, whereas
‘Killing Floor Beta Dedicated Server’ app 1273 appears in tools

When were these taken? The following were taken with the current client today. The first shows the Beta server item is showing up under Tools (as expected but different from your). The second shows the beta server missing from the Games list (also as expected.

Yesterday, I cheekily installed it via steam steam://install/215360 because the non-beta server wasn’t appearing in my list.

I can see this listed as a game (instead of a tool) over at http://cdr.xpaw.ru/linux/ this is probably Tripwire's responsibility to fix.

Red Orchestra Linux Dedicated Server and Red Orchestra Windows Dedicated Server should also be noted on that list.

So it seems that Tripwire should be notified of this and this issue can be closed? Or is there still an issue?

Yes please Frank, it appears all their tools are mislabeled as games. RO:OST is missing a link to their linux dedicated server too.

Thanks John. Can I request that one of you notify Tripwire of this issue?

It seems my email got at least some changes through already, for 223240 & 223250 RO servers at least.

good to hear

@frankc-valve There are some Valve's servers that are marked as games too.

Source Dedicated Server (205)
Source Dedicated Server (210)
Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Dedicated Server (600)

And Left 4 Dead Demo (530) is marked as Game.

Would be great to get these fixed.

@xPaw , could you provide a screenshot? The only servers I can see was the one pointed out by johndrinkwater.

Thanks!

What kind of screenshot do you want? If you look these appids in your content tool (I don't really how it's handled there on your side), you're going to find that these apps have their type set to "game". In fact, their state is eStateUnavailable, but you are able to install them via steam://install/ command.

For example: steam://install/530

Pre-Loading Left 4 Dead Demo

I think a screenshot showing them in their categories would be useful.

Nothing extracted yet.
