The crash appears to be in the Intel drivers. Not sure if you can change/update your drivers but they appear to be the culprit.
Hmm ok rebooting, I have undocked my laptop before running Steam. Just to be sure.
ThinkPad X201
Intel HDA 3000
Fedora 18 64bits
Hmmm after restart it worked, but Steam asked me to re-login. I have noticed that now the profile is perhaps stored in ls .local/share/Steam/ - I will work on moving my game content there because I do not want to redownload everything.
Anyway drivers were confused somehow, reboot did help. Closing.
Nothing extracted yet.
When I started Steam today I got: "Your steam package is out of date. Please get an updated version from your package provider or directly from http://repo.steampowered.com/steam for supported distributions." and after OK it just crash then it crash:
/home/lzap/Steam/steam.sh: line 337: SIGSEGV
Here is the full log with the crash ID.
Tried to rename ~/Steam and re-install, no luck. All the same.
