I'm trying to run Steam but I have always the same error :

$ steam

Little edit : I have now 16Go of RAM, and if someone has the same issue and have the solution, PLEASE give me a link or help me, I would like to play with my friend this week so I need Steam !!

I know it's not the answer to your problem but what games are you going to try run with that system once you do get it installed. It seems a little bit outdated and under-powered and surprised you went and bought more RAM for it. I'm not a Valve employee, just a curious random.

I know also that it's not the best computer but if I don't test what game can run or not, I will never know
