Hello!

first, I use the last version of steam (15/01/2013) on Debian Sid amd64 with KDE 4.8.4 and KWin for graphical effects ; with a GPU Nvidia (313.18).

I configured my desktop like that:

  • when a window is active, it is displayed with no transparency effects
  • when a window is inactive (it doesn't have the focus), it is displayed with a transparency effect (something like 75 %)

this works fine in steam client, except for the context menus: on a right click, the steam window should stay opaque, but it doesn't. As if the context menu was a new window which takes the focus from the steam client.

I join 2 pictures:

  • the first shows the steam client with no transparency
  • the second shows what happens on a right click (context menu).

edit: you can see that the mouse is bad orientated. it is another bug...
edit2: these bugs may be because I use libjpeg8 from debian packages and not libjpeg-turbo8 that doesn't exist in debian packages, only in ubuntu ones.

The mouse cursor issue should be cured in the next update, see #600

The context menu is a new window which gets focus, so this is expected behavior.

Nothing extracted yet.
