Hello @saveriofailoni, can you identify the thread name which is running? ([#7372 (comment)](https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/7372#issuecomment-696193644))
Hi,
Thanks for the quick response.
How do I do identify the thread name? Isn't that in all the hardware/software info above?
Ok. I read about identifying threads on another post (with a problem very similar to mine) and I was finally able to identify the threads. I send you another screenshot, Hope it helps. Thanks for your attention.

I disabled the music library but, predictably it didn't make any different. Still over 100% CPU usage.
Everything was working fine until the last steam client update arrived. :-(
I take that back. TOTALLY DISABLING the music library library did the trick. Now steam is behaving like its old self, except I now have sacrificed its music playing capabilities. No big deal. I never used it anyway.

Thank you very much for your help.
System Information
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
When I launch the Steam client everything works as expected, except it has now become a resource hog, sometimes taking the CPU to over 120% of use (when it used to be a negligible 20-30%, just like on Windows). It all started after the most recent update, which I installed as soon as it came out.
I can't play under such conditions. Is there a quick fix or shall I wait until the next client update comes out?
Thank for your attention.
Regards
S.
