Steam client version (build number or date): November 10th
Distribution: Arch
Opted into Steam client beta?: [Yes]
Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes]
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
In the current steam beta, my xbox one controller from PDP gives a left stick signal when I press the right trigger which I could clearly see in the calibration screen. In games every time I pressed the RT my character or vehicle started moving to the left, sometimes a bit other times a lot like if I had made a hard turn to the left.
The stable steam version doesn't have that issue has I tested as well both in the calibration screen and in games.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Plug-in Xbox One Controller (I don't know if it is exclusive to the PDP brand or not. I could try my Microsoft Xbox One Controller too see if it's exclusive to the PDP brand or not)
Go to the controller calibration screen. Lock out Joystick Navigation.
Press RT a few times. Sometimes Moving the left stick while holding RT and letting go of the stick makes the RT give a full on left turn.
Update: It seems to be something only present on my PDP controller, the Microsoft one seems to be working perfectly fine. The problem itself isn't consistent and seems to happen outside of steam as well. So it seems to be either a driver issue, firmware issue or just specific to this device or model. It really only happens after cutting at least once the left stick signal while holding RT, which subsequently makes RT give a left stick signal even after multiple presses.
Anyway I'm closing this since it doesn't seem to be steam related.
