There is "Linux" tab in Steam store already and there are only supported games AFAIK.

@roman-bronis the problem is some of the games that are listed to work on linux in steam do not actually work yet.

More to the point, Steam is SELLING them on it's linux store page as working on Linux, when they clearly don't.

Continuing to sell something that is known to be broken is fraud.

@james147 my experience: You have to knock on right doors. The Polynomial wasn't downloading/installing at day 1, I e-mailed developer and he (or Valve, not sure) fixed it in next day. Same story with Penumbra: Requiem but we had to wait a little longer.
@MichaelJCole I bought Cubemen and it's not working for me. Instead of crying around I investigated. I found out that it's working on my laptop so something was wrong on my end. I e-mailed developer and they are working on it... (it is Ati related and affecting more people)

Steam for Linux is in beta. You have to deal with that not everything will be working perfect (selling not-working games included). You can try to ask for refund, but you knew Steam for Linux is in beta, so...

@MichaelJCole this is still an open beta, and there are some issues still, please do not get unreasonable.
However, a few 3rd party games have library issues that are yet to be pushed as updates to Steam.

For the other games, if you cannot run them you need to provide: your system information, any debug/output you might get when loading the client, and we can find a resolution that results in: steam getting fixed or games getting fixed.

@MichaelJCole I never wanted to insult you. I'm not native speaker so I apologize if something was misunderstood. I was talking about my experience. Also, I told you can ask (no that you did) for refund, which is perfectly ok.

on-topic: the thing is, with games in Linux tab you have games which should be compatible and Valve and game developer provide support for these games. So if you have problems with supported games you are more then welcome to create issues here. However, as johndrinkwater said, please provide additional information so someone can identify problem and help.

To make a few points: The games may be in beta, but are available for the Steam for Linux client. This means you have to have beta access to their game, not just the Steam client... which is also in beta.

Furthermore, the ToS says the service is provided as-is. That means they can sell whatever they want, regardless of its quality and it is up to the consumer (people buying) to do due diligence and check to see if it works and that you meet the requirements (including any potentially necessary beta keys).

Speaking of the Steam Service Agreement, Section 2, part B says the following:

B. Beta Software Terms

Valve may from time to time make software accessible to you via Steam prior to the general commercial release
of such software ("Beta Software"). You are not required to use Beta Software, but if Valve offers it, you may elect
to use it under the following terms. Beta Software will be deemed to be Software, and each item of Beta Software
provided will be deemed a Subscription for such Beta Software, with the following provisions specific to Beta
Software:

(i) your right to use the Beta Software is effective until the earliest occurrence of one of the following events: (a)
