Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): Dec 20th, 2020
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Arch (btw)
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Up until fairly recently (within the last six months), you were able to globally change the mappings used for any given controller, adding exceptions on a per-game basis. This used to be in Steam -> Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings.

Now, that functionality is gone. Are there any plans to restore it in the future? If not, why was it removed?

I know this issue isn't directly related to steam on linux specifically, but I was directed here by steam support.

Nothing extracted yet.
