There are many, many, bug reports here about how the Steam store's filtering to only show games for a particular platform doesn't actually work. That suggests that either making that filter work as intended is a really hard problem, or you don't want to.
However, it would be really helpful if the Steam store actually displayed the icons that show which platform a game is available for, for every game. In this screenshot three games are available for Linux; can you tell which ones? There is ample whitespace for that information by the prices.
Increasing users' confidence in the information provided by the Steam store would lead to more effective browsing and, likely, more sales.
