This problem has been in steam input for a long time, ,my work arround is to put the dpad like joystick move.
here is a video of it. As you can see the left and right input is pressed side to side very fast, it inputs them both at the same time.
I tested it with xbox one s controller and 8bitdo controller. hope this can be fixed.
